What does God mean when he says he will give us pastors according to his own heart?
Jeremiah 3:15
ESV - 15 'And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.

Although that verse was written to Israel back then, we certainly can look to it when calling a Pastor, before and after church-wide prayer. The Apostle Paul fills us in on the type pastor we are to pray for. God is not going to automatically provide a Pastor today for a church that does not in utmost humbleness surrender to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
