There is a faith based Church that is based on Biblical Doctrine and the faith of its members. It is the Independent Baptist Church. There is one True God of the Holy Bible and many false gods and corrupt churches.

Most religions add or take away from the truth of the Scriptures and the Gospel of Christ. Church is a good place to learn about Scripture and you should study and search out the truth of what the Bible is meaning in the section you are studying.

The Independent Baptist get their doctrine form the bible in Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: This is Christ's command to all that believe he is the Savior. We are to go out into the world and preach the whole Gospel of Christ which is the Holy Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

The answer to your question is yes you can have true faith in God without belonging to a religion. But you should belong to a Full Gospel Church and most Independent Baptist Churches are Teaching Churches teaching the death, burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ and his presents in all of the Creation history.

In this day and age Religion is a business. Certainly there are some churches, missionaries, etc.,that try to emulate the life and works of Christ but I surely have not found one yet.
