The Bible does not specify when Judas Iscariot began embezzling from the group of disciples, it only tells us that he did (John 12:4-6).

Judas was the treasurer for the group, as this passage states. He was a greedy, selfish man, which helps to explain why he was willing to sell The Lord for money - 30 pieces of silver, the price of an adult male slave.
