I have to do a Sermon on Psalm 98, but the theme is "Praising the Lord". I have never done anything like this before. This is my first time to share the Word.
Psalms 98:1 - 9
AMP - 1 O SING to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have wrought salvation for Him. 2 The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness has He openly shown in the sight of the nations.

Psalm 98 is an awesome Psalm. As Christians, we have a hope and a peace that surpasses comprehension. Why? We are able to have hope and peace even in the midst of terrible persecution and emotional pain. Why? The answer is that our hope, our peace, and joy is all rooted in the person of Jesus Christ. Christ is our hope and peace. The joy that we are able to have at all times is because of a future hope in the return of Christ and the final redemption and restoration of both the earth and ourselves. Psalm 98 is all about this. There is a very strong Messianic theme to this Psalm. The Lord has made His Salvation known! He has done this through Christ. We can now all rejoice because we can receive Salvation! And more than that, Christ will return! Trials we will endure. Persecution may meet us on the road. Emotional heartbreak may surround us. Yet, through all this - Christ is steadfast. Christ has been revealed. Christ will return. So let us be joyful! Let us sing! Let us make a joyful noise to the Lord!
