In other words, how soon after the start of Jesus' public ministry was John the Baptist killed? Is there enough information in the Gospels to "ballpark" time frame?

Matthew 13: 57 tells of Jesus being in His hometown and saying 'a prophet is not without honor except in his own town and home' and then Matthew 14:1-12 tell of John the Baptist's beheading and burial by his disciples who then went and told Jesus. Jesus was distressed and went alone in a boat to think and pray. He then landed and fed all the people with the five loaves and two fish. That to me, tells the timeline of John the Baptist's death as it related to Jesus' ministry as right before the occurrences of Matthew 14: 13-21. That is as close as I can determine it, but someone else may have more to contribute.
