We have no way of knowing, but with a lifespan of 930 years, it could have been hundreds!

Cain (and others) would have had to marry a sister or niece, since there was only one family. Come to think of it, there is STILL only one family of humans!;-)

It is hard to tell. From what I know there was Cain and Abel and then Seth Genesis 5:1 Then it says Adam had other sons and daughters. It doesn't not mention anyone after Seth becasue then it goes into Seth"s children

Genesis 4:17 says that Cain married a woman after slaying his brother Abel. And so we know he probably married [one of] his sister[s]. Now we know that Adam and Eve had at least 3 sons and 1 daughter. They were Cain, Abel, Seth, and 1 unnamed daughter.

Then consider Genesis 5:4 ESV:

"The days of Adam after he [Adam] fathered Seth were 800 years, and he [Adam] had other sons and daughters." Therefore, according to Scripture, Adam and Eve’s family consisted of sons Cain, Abel and Seth, plus a minimum of 2 other sons and 2 daughters, giving a total of 7 children.
