No, it is not biblical, rather it is of pagan origin. (shocked) The tradition of having a wedding cake and the cutting of it goes back as far as the Roman Empire. There are no cutting of any cake in Jewish weddings, instead, they break glass.
It is traditional and not specifically biblical or unbiblical. Quite yummy too. In the Bible, Jesus went to a wedding once that we know of, in Cana. They apparently had quite a feast there, which I am sure included desserts of some kind. At the wedding, Jesus turned water to wine, contributing to the festivity. So I believe cake would be a nice tradition to adhere to.
