How do people give the devil a black eye?

I have heard this expression in many churches.

Great question. I submit for me the opportunity to disrupt his plans anytime, anywhere when the evil one and his minions swiftly advance into a situation to gain a superior position over God's people.

The natural man may want to retire from the battle before them, when the enemy is in the wire advancing hard and fast, and it may seem that all is lost!

But the spirit man shouts stand fast, be of good courage, this battle belongs to the Lord, oh mighty warrior of God!

What first appeared to be a simple walk in the park an easy victory for the dark kingdom over the kingdom of light, has now become an embarrassing rout for the devil and his storm troopers!

His plan like that of a boxer working the body, is to get you to lower or drop your guard just a bit, as his minions work you over wearing and tiring you out.

But instead of falling for his rope a dope plan with the minions, you go straight for the devil's funny head, using his melon like a spiritual speed bag rocking his world.

Consider for a moment the scene later, around their demonic water cooler as they recap the days activities, the hot gossip goes something like, did you hear or see what that little grandma did to the BOSS today oh my!

In the wilderness trial the Lord stopped the devil's attack dead in it's tracks so that he withdrew for a season, after all there are only so many head shots one can take at a time, and these were all from the book of Deuteronomy.

In the Lord's freedom to blacken the eye of evil................warrior on
