Anyone who says he represents himself as a servant of God yet denies that Jesus Christ came in the flesh that person has not the spirit of God in him. You can not truly know God the Father until you except His son Jesus the Christ. These are not my words but the words of God written in the scriptures.
Galations 1:8 can act as a warning against religions that would take previous Christian revelation and "further" it with new revelation. Two major religions that cite supernatural revelation are Mormonism, which is obviously weird and a complete distortion that causes it to be seperate from even the hundreds of Christian denominations, and Islam, which states that the early church screwed up the Christian religion and when Jesus comes back with Muhammed He's going to kill the Christians. Both Mormons and Muslims cite an angel. Mormons obviously ignore Galations 1:8. Islam should not be able to exist as a religion.
Did Satan not say to Eve in the garden, "Who said you cannot touch or eat?" That is the role of Satan, to pretend to be the light, yet he is full of darkness. We know that he is a deceiver; he deceived Eve and has deceived many after Eve. It is our responsibility to be aware of his devices that we may not fall into his trap. Jesus warned Peter of Satan's intent and we are continuously warned to put on the armor of God. As long as we are faithfully following the Lord through his word our light will be brighter than the light of Satan. We will be able to detect his devices and be a good soldier of the Lord. Our appeal is to every child of a God to be faithful and obediently follow the word of God. The reason why children of God disobey is because a lesser light has grabbed their attention.
One of the things that Satan specializes in is to make people question God. In the garden of Eden, he deceived Eve by twisting God's words and putting himself in a position of moral authority. Once she believed that what he said was true, she reasoned that it couldn't be a bad thing to gain wisdom by eating the fruit. Today, society is in the same position, believing what Satan has said about God's words and laws and doing what they think is good in their own eyes. The tactics that Satan uses are the same as in the beginning, making his ideas seem like good things to follow, but resulting in death.
Galatians 1: 6: I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
