When I was a servant of sin, I was a slave of the devil but when I became a servant of Christ Jesus, I willingly became a servant to righteousness. My flesh man will always be tempted to serve sin but my spirit man which was born again through the power of God always desires to be a servant of righteousness which means right or moral behavior. Galatians 5:17

A bondservant is basically a slave willlingly or unwillyingly. You could commit yourself to this slavery in service to pay debts willingly or unwillingly in times past.

I have a braclet that looks like half a handcuff. When I ware it, it reminds me that I can be a slave to sin or a slave to righteouness today. I can meditate on positive or moral thoughts or I can think on negative or impure thoughts.
John 8:34

But now that I have studied the word of God thouroughly and continuously, I am imediately on guard and alerted to the slightous temptations of the works of the flesh or the temptations to sin in my mind or body. 2Timothy 2:15

So my braclet reminds me of the past that I have no desire to return too and it reminds me of the continuous freedom and future that I now have the choice to choose that which was given to me when I ask Christ Jesus to free me of my servitude to sin and Satan.

I have found that the yoke of righteousness and it's unlimited rewards. Are very much lighter and much more rewarding than the servitude of sin and Satan.

God's grace is as light as a feather as long as you remember his grace is all sufficient. For it is not by my might or by my power Lord but by your spirit's power and your word of truth that I am alive and free in you my Lord.

Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. God's people perish because they lack knowledge that is freely at their disposal to study, learn, grow, mature and be impowered. Knowledge of God is true power in this world and that same knowledge is power in the Kingdom of our God.

Be a willing bondservant read His word until you understand the whole counsel of God. Acts 20:27
