12 At that time Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord gave the Amorites over to the sons of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, “Sun, stand still at Gibeon, and moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.” And the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, until the nation took vengeance on their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? The sun stopped in the midst of heaven and did not hurry to set for about a whole day. This story fascinates me. But what is this "Book of Jashar" being referenced here? It is not in any book in the Bible, not even the Deuterocanonicals/Apocrypha.

I found a series of a fiction book called " The Kingdom", Its a series by J. Asher. I also found a book call "The Book of Ashar. It is part of the apocrypha that is not in the Bible. So I have not read it but that does not mean it not worth studying. It covers the Mosaic books up to the death of Moses. The book of Joshua 10:12 is said by Joshua to his people that sun stand still and the moon stand still. And it is said in verse 13 that it happened. I believe the Bible and believe that it did happen. I don't question. I heard a pastor say from the pulpit once that scientists have proven that a loss of time has been lost around that time. I cannot quote it or tell you where to find it. It was a long time ago when I heard that and didn't question that either. I hope someone can give you an absolute answer.
Thank you! I will check it out.
