Good question, Ellen! Jeremiah 23:24 We ask: 'God, What do you fill heaven and earth with?' (Ps 139:7, & compare Am 9:2-3). — God answers: 'With My omniscience, providence, power, and essential being (1 Ki 8:27). But I don't believe God is in everything, pantheism. (Pantheism is the view that everything is part of an all-encompassing, immanent God. All forms of reality may then be considered either modes of that Being, or identical with it.) So I don't believe God is in every blade of grass. Neither do I believe God is in unbelievers. Otherwise, how could Jesus' promise to His disciples in John 14:17 be so precious and unique? John 14:17, speaking about Jesus promising the Holy Spirit, says..."He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you."
