According to the Jewish calendar, Friday is a Preparation day, it is the day before Sabbath (Mark 15:42; Luke 23: 54).So, Friday is also considered as the sixth day of the creation of heavens and earth (Gen.1 : 1-31); it was the day God created living creatures and man (Gen. 1: 24-31).

On Friday/the sixth day, Jesus accomplished his mission to redeem man from their sins by sacrificing his Spirit (Mathew 27: 50-53);

For the believers and followers of Jesus, every Friday is a Good Friday, it is the day we were created by God; the day of our redemption/independence from the power of sin.

It is not a coincidence that even our neighbors (Islam) considered Friday is Holy by gathering/praying in a congregation on every Friday. Whatever the belief system they have, they have reminded us to what God has done to us on Friday/the sixth day.-a Good Friday/Holy Friday.
