I have always worked with my own hands. I always worked hard to do a good job and to provide for my family, and to give to others in need. I tried to never promote myself, but the Lord in his timing promoted me. When we do not have much, we depend on the Lords provision. But after the Lord has given us much, we tend to trust in that.

But the Lord in His perfect wisdom will take a portion for himself by our Godly compassion for people who are struggling. But we are not to spend our childrens inheritance. And we need to take care of our parents in their old age. It is good to save for the future, and not spend it all as though there is no tomorrow. God gives to us to use for His glory, and to spend a portion on our selves with thankfulness to Him for His provision.

If God promotes you, thank Him. If God demotes you, thank Him.

My struggle is always with lack. Working for the Lord is hard when you are sick and broke. I work a full time job but with the cost of rent, gas, bills, food and clothing as a single mother it is not enough, it is never enough. I don't live an extravagant lifestyle by any means, just making it from pay check to pay check and it gets tiring. Never having extra even to fix the car which could breakdown at any moment. I try to be content because I love Jesus but you can't live without money in this world, so I struggle with worry and always in fear of what shoe is getting ready to drop.

John 10:10 (NIV)
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Matthew 7:7 [Full Chapter]
[ Ask, Seek, Knock ] “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

I live in hope for these scriptures to blossom.
