What is humanism? As Christians, are we to harbor humanistic feelings?

For we seem to be more concerned with how we view each other as humans than how God views us. We love to make each other happy than to do what God loves us to. Even when we offer to help each other on a range of matters, we tend to do it more for humanistic reasons rather than doing it because it is not only the right thing to do, but it is what God loves us to. Does God accept us for simply being humans?

Humanism is a system by which humans seek to promote the human agenda as being supreme to anything that may be. It seeks to disregard anything to do with God and by this system, man believes he can guide himself and make it by himself.

As Christians, we are not to harbor humanist feelings. Humanism is rebellion to God and it is the source of all unrighteousness. For humanism makes humans believe that all we do is definable, understandable and justifiable in human terms. For all Jesus taught is almost if not impossible in human terms. Yet by divine intervention, nothing is impossible. In human terms, there is no reason to be slapped and simply turn the other chick for another slap (Matthew 5:39), (Luke 6:29). In human terms, there is no way it is understandable that you are blessed when you give than when you receive (Acts 20:35). It is always justifiable in human terms to pay back just as you have been treated, yet in divine terms, it is a whole lot different story.

Humanism is a tool by which the devil has tirelessly sought to set man in a losing race with God. By this system, the devil seeks to make humans feel God is just jealous of them and they should be no class to Him (God). That humans can therefore be self reliant and do away with a God who doesn't want them to measure up yet they can go much further if they did away with Him. On that account therefore, the human instinct only gets stronger while the divine element is suppressed to no where.

God has blessed humans with the ability to make countless inventions. No other creature matches the human ability. There are creatures much bigger in size and wild than the humans. Some creatures are so fierce and ruthless in their look and character. Yet how fierce and ruthless they are is no match to the human brain. Humans can tame the grassland much as they can tame the desert. Humans can tame the airspace much as they tame the waters. No other creature has this ability. Yet as humans, we have failed to understand that we are only unique because God only wanted us to be so so that we live for and to His glory. But we desperately believe that we can use these little abilities to counter God's overwhelmingly unmeasurable Omnipotence, Omnipresence, and Omniscience. We are desperate because we are failing in every bit. Take the two following example:

In Gen 3:5, this is what the devil tells Eve; "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Eve therefore believed the serpent for the reason that she would finally be able to measure up to God, and when she explained the same to Adam, he equally took the idea. The devil simply set the humans in a losing race against God.

In (Gen 11:1-9), humans seek to build a tower so they could reach God in heaven. It was like; if you claim you are too far above, let's prove we can get you wherever you are. For we can make it without you.

We say; as humans, we shall help each other, we shall get the medicine, we shall protect ourselves and make sure none of us dies. But all we have continuously worked against continues to go on unabated. We continue to die despite all the efforts we have put in both scientific and physical. We have failed to understand that all goodness comes from God. Now we are only bent on promoting human styles such as homosexuality simply because it makes a human happy. We want to rival God in any way possible!

For how collectively we work will never counter against God. We can only undoubtedly set ourselves on the road to self destruction. How much we help and feel for each other will never save any! If you have not accepted Jesus and submitted to His authority, you are doomed to hell! The devil is unrepentant, so does he want us to be. Yet God loves us to repent and submit to His authority because He knows that it is only then that we can regain His love and favor over any creature that can be. JESUS IS THE ANSWER!
