I was in a career that started out great. As the years went by, however, it started being a drag. Each day I said a little prayer:
Lord, let the next 8 (10-12) hours be for your glory and not my own.
I even posted this prayer at my desk so that when things got especially tough to handle, I could repeat the prayer. This helped ne make decisions with more ease as well as deal with my coworkers with grace. I am, fortunately, retired now but I still use this prayer on a daily basis to help me throughout my days.
