Do not pray to angels only command them to move on our behalf according to the will of God
Do not pray to angels only command them to move on our behalf according to the will of God
I would answer this from a studied layman's position. Why would you want to pray to a created being when you have clear access to the Creator. Our Creator God, is present everywhere, at the same time. He has all power, to do anything at any time. He is larger than the entire universe, and small enough to live in the temple (our human body) in the form of His Holy Spirit.
Whenever we question something about our relationship with our God, see for yourself, what His Holy Word has to say about that question. Once you have found your answer in His word, you are able to thank Him for that fact, and live according to His will for your life.
God has a perfect plan for each person. He planned for each one of us before He even said, for the first time, "Let there be Light."
I was 19yo before I understood that God was that concerned about me. I gave my life into His perfect care, April 8th, 1961 at 9:39pm and although I have not been perfect, He is faithful, and I know for sure that when I die, or live to see Jesus return for His Bride, (the Church) I will then live in His presence forever! AMEN
Just a reminder that angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation. Hebrews 1:14 and in accordance I believe Guardian angels are still at work for each believer. Maranatha!
I ask the police to protect my neighborhood.
My girls ask me to protect them from ghosts.
I ask my dog to protect my house from burglars.
I dont worship the police or my dog, my girls do not worship me.
Similarly, I ask angels to protect my family. I do not worship angels.
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (not angels)
Philippians 4:19 ESV
Angels are ministering spirits, sent to serve Christians. They are to be obeyed and believed, as Zachariah found out when he was struck mute by Gabriel until John the Baptist was born.
In Revelation, the apostle John was rebuked when he tried to fall down and worship the angel who was showing him the things he was to write down later. The angel said that he was also God’s fellow servant.
The bible says that we have entertained angels without knowing it, and I believe this is one of the reasons they don’t make themselves known. Throughout the Bible, if an angel appeared to someone, that person would usually be startled and gripped with fear.
I think that people tend to think of angels as bringers of bad news and bad omens unlike Jesus’ birth to the shepherds in Luke, and to Mary, Joseph, and Zechariah.
There’s also the case of the Centurion in Acts, who was the first Gentile to become saved and receive the Holy Spirit, and to Paul on the way to Rome before being shipwrecked on Malta. However there are some angels we should be aware of and take notice of, and those are the Archangels, Micheal and Gabriel, as in Daniel. And those angels who blocked the entrance to the Garden of Eden after Adam and Eve were banished from there.
Cherubim and Seraphim are very powerful angels which can be read about in Revelation, as can other types of angels.
Lucifer was an angel in heaven, in charge of the music before sin was found in him; he got kicked out of heaven and became the devil and Satan. This is why he wants to be worshipped so badly, and tried to get Jesus to worship him.
