The applicant has five years as a lay Minister and thirty-three years of experience as a pastor, Preacher, Teacher, and Administrator. He was licensed in January 1976 at Beulah Baptist Church in Dean Wood Heights, Washington D. C. under the leadership of the late Pastor Moses L. Jackson Jr. his first four years were spent in training and studying of God’s word, the Church, the Governmental structure and Operation of the church. Mentored young men in Jackson County school system at Sneads Elementary and Middle School. Pastor Butler was past co-chairmen Wednesday Evening's Together (W.E.T.) ministry, at Bethel Baptist Church, Dr. R B Holmes. Five years as assistant pastor at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the Leadership of Pastor Dr. R B Holmes Jr. past executive board member for Steel Collins Charter School. Appointed by Moderator J.B. Duval to be the coordinator of Human Relations and Director of Missionary’s and missionary leadership training program for First Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Association. He is past third vice president of the Ministers and Deacon Union of Gadsden and Leon of the Bethlehem Association in Leon County Florida. The Past Director of Religious Affairs for the NAACP in Tallahassee area, a member of the SCLC of Tallahassee, Florida. Research Historian for the C. K. Steel 50th Anniversary celebration. Member of the Leon County schools Foundation and a member of grant writing evaluation committee for the Leon County schools Foundation. In January 2010 Pastor Butler was appointed by Moderator J B Duval to his forth vice moderator of First Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Association Inc., in the same month he was selected to be the Dean of Academics for the Thomas Brown Bible College and Seminary of Jacksonville Fl. located on but not a part of FAMU campus. The Seminary is affiliated with the First Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Association Inc. 2007 he was called to pastor Little St John Missionary Baptist Church in Perry Florida; In January 2008. He was voted to be the President of the Perry Alliance of Ministers and Pastors. In January 2013 I was appointed President of the Congress of Christian education for the First Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Association Inc. In 2018 Rev Dr Robert M Butler received His Dean Certification of Christian Leadership School from the National Sunday School Publishing of Nashville Tennessee. Pastor Butler is married to Maggie Lewis Butler, and has two daughters, two sons and six grandchildren.
