To be insecure is to lack confidence or trust, whether in ourselves or someone else. There are many causes of insecurity, but chief among them is our failure to fully trust God (Jeremiah 17:7-8). A...

I have been taught that God promises what is best for us, when, where and how we receive the goodness for every need and blessing He has in store for us, His children. But, we have to first put our trust in Him and His timing, His purposes in when, how and in His ways that are not our ways. This means to have total faith (opposite of being insecure)in ALL of God's promises, by total, unrelenting faith and belief that He will always come through for you and me! "If God is for us, who can be against us!" This profound truth in so many scriptures is, to me, so critical for all of His children to know deep within our spirit! We are naturally impatient --Remember, He tells us "to be patient and wait upon the Lord, and He will make your paths straight that leads to His righteousness". In our human nature, He tells us "trust not in the ways of this world, but to put our faith in Him that He will not lead us astray, but into His pathways and purposes He had and has planned for us." "Place your trust in Him and He will direct you all the days of your life" "Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine...oh' what a savior, His Glory divine..." (old Gospel hymn). "Praise God we have a Savior and His name is Jesus Christ". --Andy--
Once man had had a knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 3: 22), he lived in an insecure life (Genesis 3: 13-20). So, the one and only place to have a secure life is Jesus Christ our LORD, He is our refugee, our fortress, our God, in whom we trust. (Psalm 91:1-16) and follow and obey what He had taught us how to pray (Mathew 6: 9-13).
I may be wrong, but I believe you are feeling insecure right now. I love using any sites that can cite cross references appropriately. There are a few. Using Bible.org's most comprehensive site (in my opinion) which they call XRef's, I came up with this: When you feel nervous or unsure of yourself, God speaks right to your heart: “Don’t be afraid, because I’m right here with you. Don’t panic—I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you up with my strong hand.” (Isaiah 41:10) He stays close and involved. He’s your God, and you can face anything because he’s with you. When you start to believe you’re not good enough or that you have no purpose, remember what God says: “You are my handiwork. I created you in Christ Jesus to do good things—things I prepared in advance just for you to walk in.” (Ephesians 2:10) You were made with care. You are valuable. You have purpose, direction, and meaning in Christ. When you’re caught up in what others think about you, let this settle your heart: “Fearing people is a trap, but if you trust me, I will lift you up and protect you.” (Proverbs 29:25) God’s approval gives you freedom. His eyes are on you, his favor rests on you, and his acceptance is secure. When you’re anxious about the future or feel overwhelmed, Jesus reminds you: “Seek my kingdom and my righteousness first. I’ll make sure all your needs are taken care of.” (Matthew 6:33) You can live with peace, knowing he provides. You can rest in the truth that he holds tomorrow. When you wonder if God truly loves you, Paul writes with total confidence: “Nothing—not death, not life, not the present, not the future, not anything in all creation—can separate you from God’s love in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:38–39) God’s love for you is unshakable. You are held, known, and forever embraced by Christ. Insecurity tells you that you’re lacking, but God reminds you that his grace is more than enough. His power shines most in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). So, lift your eyes, take courage, and walk forward knowing who walks with you.
