I’m a Christian, but I’m a bit confused due to dates in question: The Epic of Gilgamesh was written in approximately 2000BC, but the book of Genesis was written in approximately 6-5BC. Given that Gilgamesh’s epic was written almost two thousand years before the Bible, how did the writer of Gilgamesh’s epic borrow ideas from the Bible and not the other way around?
This, in no way, alters my belief in God, by the way!
Hence, the book of Genesis contain the story of Noah’s Ark.
