A point to emphasize in this discussion is the fact that since we are all sinners, we are already condemned. And, we are dead in our sins, so how can we choose? The fact that God saves anyone is a gracious gift. God is not unfair in only calling some, because no one deserves to be saved. But the question still remains: Why does God call some and not others to salvation? Why am I saved? This is beyond our comprehension and belongs in the category of God's mystery. But because it's not my choice, or my works, but God's call to me, I can only be grateful to Him. Praise be to God.
