Daniel 1:8 - 14

ESV - 8 But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king's food, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself. 9 And God gave Daniel favor and compassion in the sight of the chief of the eunuchs.

First off Deidra, what "results" are you looking to achieve? What, in your mind is the purpose of a fast? These questions need to be asked.

The biblical reasons behind fasting is to draw closer to God through sacrifice and prayer. Jesus Christ gave us this example when He walked through the wilderness for 40 days and fasted. Was He expecting "results"?

No, He was drawing closer to God and disciplining His body by bringing it under subjection.

If your motives for fasting is to get power, then you are barking up the wrong tree.
