If God is so forgiving, and he forgives everyone of their sins, why is there a judgment day?

There is a judgment day because every body is not going to accept God's payment for sin, Jesus, and those people will die in their sins and will stand before God on judgment day.

God forgives everyone of their sins but not everyone accepts His forgiveness. Forgiveness comes through Jesus, who was the payment for our sin. Many will not accept Jesus thereby forefitting forgiveness.

Judgment day is supposed to be a good day for believers. It's the day we wait for to have sin done away with. We're to pray," maranatha," which means "come now Lord."
Judgment day means nothing to an unbeliever, he/she doesn't believe there is such a day, so the thought of there being an impending day of reckoning is silly to such a person.
Am I the only believer on this site who has gone from not believing to believing? Judgment say went from being something I made jokes about to a day I look forward to. It's the day sin is completely vanquished.
As for me wanting it to not be so for the unbeliever, God loves the lost far more than I could ever pretend to, so He's the one to remind of how precious those souls are.
Judgment is the fix for a broken world, which can spell doom for unbelievers.
My definition for "unbeliever"- One who DISAGREES with the plan God has for lost, broken people...
It's clear to any reasonable person that the world needs repair. God has laid out a plan. We either roll with it or be judged for not doing so.
The wages of sin is death.

A lost person DISAGREES with God. He / she doesn't want to die (the punishment ), and won't apply for the gift (eternal life). Judgment is the default mode.
