Revelation 12:14
NKJV - 14 But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.

The eagle's wings in this verse are poetical or metaphorical for the extraordinary divine help the woman will receive in escaping the serpent. The same phrase is also used is Ex 19:4: "Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself." Another verse implying extraordinary help from God is Isa 40:31: "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint."
I believe the Woman is Israel who gave birth to Christ the Man Child and that great Eagle symbolic of America who has held her up on it's wings that she survive in her spiritual wilderness. This is God's sovereignty in modern day view I believe. The flood of evil spewed out to devour Israel, I believe right now is being swallowed up by the international coalition. Rev 12:16
