I believe we are familiar with the meaning and/or definition of the word. Simplistically put, to do detestable deeds that are contrary to the teaching of Christ and His Kingdom. God said, "Seek ye first His Kingdom and His righteousness (not detestable things) and everything shall be given unto you". Mathew 6:33. "He that overcometh shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son". Revelation 21:7. Abominable things are associated with idolatry and every sinful acts that we are forbidden from pursuing or entertaining even in our thoughts or mind.
