The word omnipotent comes from omni- meaning "all" and potent meaning "power." As with the attributes of omniscience and omnipresence, it follows that, if God is infinite, and if He is sovereign, w...

Omnipotence is an attribute of God alone. It is the quality of having all power (Ps. 115:3 -- "Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases.").

He can do all things that do not conflict with His holy nature. God has the power to do anything He wants to. Nothing is too big for my God to accomplish, and nothing is too little for Him to use in accomplishing it! Psalm 115:3 says that nothing is "too hard for God" (Gen 18:14; Jer 32:17); or "I know that thou canst do everything?" or "God.... hath done whatever he pleased" (Ps 115:3; 135:6), or, negatively, no one "can hinder" God, in carrying out His purpose (Daniel 4:35 -- "All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, 'What have you done?'"; Isa 43:13), or God's hand is not "waxed short" (Nu 11:23); in the New Testament: "With God all things are possible" (Mt 19:26; Mk 10:27; Lk 18:27); "Nothing is impossible with God" and "nothing will be impossible with God."(Luke 1:37).

“Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
For I am thy God, and will still give thee aid;
I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,
by My righteous, omnipotent hand.”

How firm a foundation a Christian has because he has trusted Jesus Christ alone for his salvation. What a promise we have (if we have become Christians!) I have had this promising foundation since I was 16 years old.
