Daniel 11:1 - 45
ESV - 1 And as for me, in the first year of Darius the Mede, I stood up to confirm and strengthen him. 2 And now I will show you the truth. Behold, three more kings shall arise in Persia, and a fourth shall be far richer than all of them. And when he has become strong through his riches, he shall stir up all against the kingdom of Greece.

Hi Kenneth,
With regard to your last response, you state that the 2,300 days applies only to the “first abomination” (Dan. 8:13-14) and the 1290 days applies only to the “second abomination” (Dan. 11:31 – Dan. 12:11). Also, in your fourth response you equate the cleansing of the Temple at the time of Antiochus IV to the “first abomination” in Dan. 8:13.
Let’s focus on Dan. 8:14 where the 2,300 days is conjoined with the proper restoration of the Temple. Gabriel, in Dan. 9:24, states that seventy weeks are decreed to… “anoint the most holy place” (CSB). This is language that is specific to Daniel’s Second vision, your “first abomination”. There is no such language in Daniel’s First vision (Dan. 7:3-14), thereby eliminating the speculation that Gabriel was speaking about Daniel’s First vision . Therefore, by content, Daniel’s Second vision (Dan. 8:3-14) is linked to Daniel’s 70th Week.
Also by content, your “first abomination” – “the transgression that makes desolate” (Dan. 8:13) is linked to the mid-point of the Tribulation where Gabriel, in Dan. 9:27, states, “And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate”. And further relegated to the end of the age with the words, “until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.” This is the end of the Antichrist, in the Battle of Armageddon, at the end of the age (Dan. 11:45).
If you look at the content, Gabriel’s explanation in Dan. 9:24-27 places Daniel’s Second vision (Dan. 8:3-14) at the end of the age.
