It helps to remember that Jesus, who taught the principle of turning the other cheek, wasn't just hurt by soldiers and politicians - he was beaten, horrifically crucified, and killed. Yet on the cross, He still prayed for their forgiveness.

While it isn't easy, it does help to remember that Jesus suffered, too, and that our temporary trials on Earth will someday be over and we will be welcomed into eternity.

We who are able must take a stand for justice - not for a one time affront against ourselves - but to ensure that justice is served and that other's are not likewise impacted.

Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's... i.e. the rule of law related to our government must be obeyed - and God's Laws must be obeyed.

When Jesus saw the money changers violating the temple, he took a stand. While we must be careful in how we take a stand, we must speak up in the name of justice. Being silent is consent. We must be strong and courageous... "If we stand for nothing, we'll fall for anything..."
