Since the fallen angels who followed Satan in his rebellion were spiritual beings (rather than physical), they did not perish in the Flood, just as Satan did not perish. However, the offspring that they fathered with human women prior to the Flood (Genesis 6:4) did perish.

Sin of good and evil entered men through the Serpent (which preexisted who were cast down from heaven) and Cain knowing that he committed a murder was now scared of his life for he knew he would be slayed (Gen 4:14). Men being full of evil thoughts did it in rampant not knowing that God and His creation were watching. The lust of evil on earth could not be withhold with some of the angel beings as the scriptures call them sons of God who saw the lust in men and the woman. This angel beings when they came in unto the daughters of men and bare children to them they became mighty men called giants. The human race was destroyed by flood except of Noah and his Sons and wives.

God blessed Adam and Eve and said to them be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it (Gen 1:28) but these giants beings spirit born didn't come from God and could not go back to the heavenly place. They are the wandering spirits or demons that we call them today (Mat 12:43 / Math 13:25). After the flood this wandering spirits did appear as we read in the scriptures in the land of the Canaanites and are called the Anakin’s (Num 13:33 / Joshua 11:21-22).
