What does the Bible say about the universality of sin?
1 John 1:8 8If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:10 10If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us. Good day, Jack, My findings is this: God created the first Adam and Jesus our Christ became the second Adam for us. The first Adam got us all into trouble without our permission and the second Adam got us all out of that mess without our approval. Romans 5:19 "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous." 1 Corinthians 15:21 "For since by man (Adam) came death, by man (Jesus) came also the resurrection of the dead." I had a class on Romans at Dallas Seminary, taught by my beloved professor, Dr. S. Lewis Johnson (now in heaven). I loved it!
