In saying that God forgave them, is the questioner referring to instances where a believing person was specifically recorded in the Bible as having committed a sin, but there is no indication that God temporally punished the person for it? (I am asking because of the Christian belief that none of us is entirely free of sin -- since we are all born with an inherent sin nature -- and yet, despite that, there is a case such as Enoch, where he is recorded as having been taken by God without dying, with no mention of him having been temporally punished by God for anything he did.)
