There are too many to list and then we have different interpretations of the same set of words from many different versions of the bible. Some people demand that their interpretation is correct or else they think that people cannot be Christians. I think there are very few things that sum up what Christianity is about.
Love thy neighbour as yourself. I am the way the truth and the life. And the question that may not be in the bible what would Jesus Do. I can and do live a Christian life based on those three basic points.
Most of the bible is what people have written in an attempt to explain their understanding which sadly was often based on them benefiting from what they said and wrote? Jesus never benefitted from what He said.
Try saying I am the way the truth and the life and asking who Is reading it. You of course call yourself "I" do you believe what you read? I do and it changed my life. We are charged with loving our neighbour as ourselves if we do not love ourselves how can we expect to show that to others?
That everyone gets to heaven/ good people get to heaven; believing in God as a fact can get you to heaven; heaven is easy to get to; Jesus forgives everyone; and from the previous, sins are just not taken seriously by God.
Some good ones, George, and may I suggest "I would rather hang out with my mates and have a good time together in hell than live with a bunch of goody-goody wowsers that have no idea how to have a good time" which is a total misunderstanding of the reality of hell.
"The devil you know is better than the angel you do not know."
Surprisingly, people, even Christians say this as if it is in the Bible. However, I strongly oppose it because there is nothing good about the devil and one should not relate with any devil. It is not scriptural.
