It's a very good question. The answers are not convincing and biblical. God says, I'm the God who healeth us. He was whipped and by His stripes we are healed. I think a believer should trust God and hear his gentle voice in these areas per his calling.
Does this mean we should abstain from headache tablets, cough medicine and other medications as well?
Should Christians avoid becoming doctors, nurses, surgeons, paramedics, pharmacists or other health professionals?
The apostle Paul had a physician - Luke, the writer of the Gospel and The Acts - so in my opinion, medicine is acceptable, even necessary.
