If Satan came from Heaven why would he not recognize Jesus?
Matthew 4:6
NKJV - 6 And said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: 'He shall give His angels charge over you,' and, 'In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.'

I would say that Satan knew precisely who Jesus was (that is, the Son of God). By prefacing his temptations of Jesus with the phrase, "If you are the Son of God...", Satan was not indicating doubt or uncertainty on his part about Jesus' identity, but was urging Jesus to use powers that both Satan and Jesus knew that Jesus had as the Son of God in ways that would have been contrary to God the Father's will, or that would have tested God's care in a manner that had been specifically previously forbidden, as Jesus indicated in the verses from the Old Testament that He quoted (Deuteronomy 8:3 and Deuteronomy 6:16, respectively) in rebuttal of Satan's temptations.
