What does Apostle John mean or refers to when he says, "All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin which does not lead to death"?

If sin is wrongdoing, and its wages are death. How comes there's a sin that doesn't lead to death? Sorry that I'm being ignorant, but I just want to learn and grasp in this truth, thanks!

1 John 5:17

ESV - 17 All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death.

First John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. First John 1:10 If we say we have not sinned, we call God a liar.

It is because we are sinners that we need a savior. Jesus is the savior of the world, John 3:16.

Even though our sin debt is paid in full, we still reap what we sow in this life. First Corinthians 5:5 Turn such a one over to Satan to kill the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in he day of the Lord.

This was a born again believer, Ephesians 1:13, that was sleeping with his fathers wife. He was about to lose his life, and the rewards he could have had in heaven, but the man was still saved.First Corinthians 3:11-15. Only his rewards would be burned up but the man was still saved.

God can not go back on his word, and He paid for the sins of the whole world. First John 2:2.

But God does chasten His children. John 1:12. The wrath of God comes on the SONS of God. His own children. Not to condemn us, but to bring us back into fellowship with Himself.

If a child of God, John 1:12, wants to go off and live in sin God may just let them go like the prodigal son. He was still his fathers son but he was not bringing glory to his father.

He finally came to his senses and came back to his father. Some have to reach the bottom before they can start up.

If you have someone in your family whose life was taken early, it may be that they are in heaven.

So thinking about unintentional sins.. Why are we able to receive forgiveness for our unintentional sins, but yet Adam still had to taste of physical death?
