If you have believed on Jesus for the free gift of eternal life, you will meet Jesus upon death.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. John 3:18. Our sin debt was paid in full at the cross and we can no longer be condemned to hell.

Romans 3:26-28 For He is the just and the justifier of them that believe in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? By the law of works? Nay, but by the law of FAITH. Therefore we conclude a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.

There will be no boasting in heaven. Jesus paid it all and we paid 0. The GIFT of God is eternal life. John 10:28-29. Paid in full. John 3:18. Galatians 2:21.

The law was given to show us we are all sinners and need a savior. The law could not save us or Jesus died in vain.

The GIFT of God is eternal life. Not a reward for good behavior, but a free gift. What do you have to do to receive a free GIFT? Nothing or it would not be free.

A gift is paid in full by the giver. A reward is something you earn or work for. The GIFT of God is eternal life. Once you accept the gift you have eternal life.

John 6:47 God cannot lie. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me hath everlasting life. How long does eternal life last? Forever. It is not temporary life or probationary life, but eternal life that God gives to those who believe on the name of the Son of God. John 1:12. John 5:24. We have passed from death unto life. Colossians 3:3 We are dead and our life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 2:13. He has forgiven us all trespasses. All, not some, but all.

Jesus paid our sin debt to God so we could never be condemned again. He has imputed His perfect righteousness to us apart from works. Romans 4:6. Without His righteousness no one will see God. Our righteousness is nothing but filthy rags.

So, we are saved by faith alone in Jesus finished work on the cross plus nothing. Man can do nothing to save himself. We can only be saved by faith alone apart from any works.

If we could do one work that would save us, then Jesus died in vain. Romans 11:6 Salvation is all grace, no works. If it was by works, it cannot be grace. It can only be one or the other. It can not be both. If you add one work to grace it is no longer grace, but all works. A perverted gospel.

If a believer cannot live anyway he wants to and know we are going to heaven, then you have not believed on Jesus and are trusting in what you do to save yourself. We can only be saved by what Jesus did for us plus nothing minus nothing. The GIFT of God is eternal life. It cannot be earned and it can not be lost.

We all deserve to go to hell. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. All, not some, but all. We have no way to pay our debt. Jesus paid the debt and set us free.

The second we die we go into the presence of the Lord. Paul said, absent from the body, present with the Lord.

The GIFT of God is eternal life. I received that free gift 76 years ago, and I cannot lose it because it is eternal. John 10:28-29. Romans 1:16. First John 2:2. John 6:40. John 5:24. Colossians 3:3. I cannot go to hell no matter what. Since I cannot go to hell I have to go to heaven. There are only two options. Heaven or hell. There is no other destiny. It is either one or the other.

Ephesians 4:30. And grieve not the Holy Spirit, (Ephesians 1:13) in whom ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

I have nothing to boast in. All I did was believe on Jesus for the free gift of eternal life. Faith is not a work. It is faith apart from works. Jesus gives eternal life to those who have trusted in Him alone for the free gift of eternal life. Romans 4:5. No works. The GIFT of God is eternal life.

I might not even die. First Corinthians 15:51-53 and First Thessalonians 4:13-18. I might just go to meet my savior in the clouds. EIther way, I will be greeted by Jesus.
