How long was Adam alone before God created Eve?
Genesis 2:7
ESV - 7 Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

In my opinion, this question can only be answered or inferred in terms of events, rather than specific time frames given in the Bible. I'd say that it would have to have been a sufficient period for Adam to name all the animals (since that would have given him a consciousness of the fact that each animal had a mate of a different gender, while he did not). Also, having the period of his solitude to be long enough to encompass breeding seasons involving actions by both the male and female of species would have raised questions in his mind about how he was to be able to procreate. Also, he might have developed a sense of the need for assistance in the responsibility that God Himself had given Him to tend the garden in which God had placed Him, which could have grown greater over time. Considering the question in light of the length of such breeding and growing cycles, I would say that his solitude would/could have lasted no longer than a year, and could well have been shorter than that.
