What "times" did David place in the Lord’s hands? (Psalm 31:15)

14
But I trust you, Lord,
and I claim you as my God.
15
My life is in your hands.
Save me from enemies
    who hunt me down.
16
Smile on me, your servant.
    Have pity and rescue me.

As expressed by the translation cited in the question, by speaking of his "times", David was referring not to specific instances during his life, but to his entire life -- that is, from the "time" that he was born until the "time" that he would die -- which he was placing totally in God's hands.
