ESV - 1 When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them. 2 The sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose.

Genesis 5:28: "Lamech lived one hundred and eighty two years and had a son. (Vs.29) And he called his name Noah, saying 'This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord has cursed.'" Noah's name refers to the reversal of the curse, found in earlier chapters of Genesis. Genesis 6:9: Noah was a just man who walked with God. He was told by God to build an ark... so he did.
