I ask this in particular because in the future, He will change animals to be vegetarians according to Isaiah 65:25: “The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.”
Isaiah 65:17 - 25
ESV - 17 For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind. 18 But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem to be a joy, and her people to be a gladness.

In the beginning God created all creatures to eat only plants, and we all shall be returned to that state at the time of the new creation. There was a cataclysmic change to the DNA of both man and animals in the fall in the garden of Eden, which is not specifically explained in Genesis. The Lord had to kill animals to make skins for Adam and Eve to wear (as they realized that they were naked); it was also at the fall that all living creatures’ features (such as”eye teeth”) became part of their makeup to eat to survive. Thus the fall of mankind caused these incredible changes when Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden.
