Has everyone been kidnapped by sin?

Galatians 4:4
But when the time arrived that was set by God the Father, God sent his Son, born among us of a woman, born under the conditions of the law so that he might redeem those of us who have been kidnapped by the law.

Kidnapping would be a valid analogy in the sense that, similar to the way in which a ransom is paid to purchase the freedom of a kidnapped individual, Christ (through His suffering, death, and resurrection, and because of His own uniquely sinless nature) paid the "price" that was sufficient in God's eyes to free the unsaved (encompassing all of humanity) from the adverse consequences of their sin (that is, eternal separation from God) through faith in Him (rather than in their own imperfect righteousness) to do so.

I would only add that it seems to me that, rather than kidnapping, the analogy that the Bible more commonly uses to describe the relationship of the unsaved to sin is that they have been enslaved by it, as Jesus noted in John 8:34. By this analogy, faith in Jesus sets the enslaved individual free.
