Revelation 22:6 - 21
KJV - 6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. 7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

The cited verses are not the only time in Scripture that a similar admonition about adding to or taking away from the divinely-revealed guidance or text appears. Deuteronomy 4:2 and Proverbs 30:6 also contain such wording. To me, the way these verses are distributed in Scripture (in a figurative sense, at the beginning, middle, and end) is an indication that all of the Bible is to be regarded as being divinely inspired, even down to the specific original words used. This is further confirmed for me by Peter's teaching in 2 Peter 1:20. Individuals who substantively change that wording (especially to conform to a merely personal belief) do so at their own spiritual and eternal peril.
As to the warning written in Revelation, that if anyone who takes away from the words of this prophecy "I will remove his name from the book of life," this is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, the one who was sent to bear witness of the truth. There were two individuals going around teaching to God’s children that there would not be a resurrection. The apostle turned them over to Satan to teach them not to blaspheme. When a person denies what is written they are calling the Holy Spirit a liar. This is why the curse is given in Revelation. When you deny what is written you are actually taking away from God’s word, whether you do it in Revelation or throughout the Bible. You are walking on dangerous ground. My advice is if God has not given you understanding to talk about such things, it would be far better not to claim things not to be true.
