Offer to help out in a soup kitchen, offering a smile, a helping hand or whatever is needed.

We buy several Walmart $10 gift card and give this out to those in need with a note that says God loves you.

Share Gods love by doing random acts of kindness, mowing a yard, taking trash cans back up to the house or taking them down, no one needs to know.

It is important to remember that Christian service cannot be "outside the church" since the church is composed entirely of those who have received Christ. Please read the letter to the Ephesians.
I do understand the intent of the question and the scriptures clearly teach that any service, including feeding the poor or offering a cup of water in the name of Jesus is serving Him.
