This is a miracle of resurrection by Paul the Apostle. Acts 20:9-12 9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead. 10 And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him. 11 When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed. 12 And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.

Dear Anonymous, it simply means that he was raised from the dead. Paul was empowered by the Holy Spirit, that same power that raised our Lord and Savior from the dead. When he made contact with the body of Eutychus, the resurrection power flowed into him and brought him back to life.

He only had life in him only AFTER Paul raised him from the dead. This was a miracle! Compare 1Ki 17:21-22: 2 Ki 4:34-35 as to the manner in which (the how in which) first, Elijah, and then Elisha, had raised two different boys from the dead. These comparisons were similar to the way in which Paul raised Eutychus from the dead.

Very simply, the Bible says what it means. It does not say this is/was a resurrection. Therefore, I do not conclude it as such. The Bible always says what it means. In other situations, when a resurrection has occurred, the Bible declares, resurrection! Therefore, in my opinion, this was not a resurrection.

Acts 20:10: And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, “Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.” Lord Jesus, when He was risen, He appeared unto the eleven apostles (Mar 16:14), for forty days and was then taken up in a cloud, while they had two men that stood by them in shining garments. (Lk 24:4/Act 1:3,9-10) These two men were angels who companied them, and the Lord Jesus went in and out among them. (Acts 1:21) The apostle who stood before our Lord Jesus, Paul, had no taste of death to be seen, knowing the kingdom of God comes with power. (Mark 9:1) Paul, when he sailed off from Phi-lip’-pi, he came unto Tro’-as, when the disciples came together, he preached unto them. (Acts 20:6-7) They were all in the upper chambers, where they all gathered together, and there was a young man, Eu’-ty-cus, who sat at the window, who fell asleep, and fell down, and was taken up dead. (Acts 20:8-9) Paul then went down, fell on him, embracing, as E-li’-jah, and E-li’-sha did (1 Kings 17:21-22/2 Kings 4:32,34-35), and said, “Trouble not yourself, for his life is in him.” (Acts 20:10) When he came up again and talked a long while and then departed, those who had come down with him then brought the young man alive, for his spirit came back into him. (Acts 20:12) There was a certain man of the Gad-a-renes’ which had demons, for a long time, who abode in tombs. When he saw Lord Jesus, demons cried with a loud voice through him and said, “What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.” (Lk 8:26-28) Lord Jesus asked him, "What is thy name?" And he said, "Legion," for many devils entered into him. And they besought Lord Jesus not to command them to go out into the deep, but to go into the swine; He allowed them. The swine herds then ran violently into the lake and were choked. The man then clothed himself and sat at the feet of Jesus. (Lk 8:30-35) Lord Jesus, when He returned, Ja-i’-rus, the ruler of the synagogue, came and fell at His feet, and besought Him to come to his house, as his twelve-year-old daughter lay dying. As He went to his place, many people thronged Him. (Lk 8:40-42) Then came one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying, “Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master.” Lord Jesus then said, “Fear not, believe only, and she shall be made whole.” (Lk 8: 49-50) When He came into the house, He said, "Weep not; she is not dead but sleepeth." He put the people out who were in the house that laughed at Him to scorn, knowing she was dead. He then took her by the hand, saying, “Maid, arise." Her spirit came back into her,’ and she arose.” (Lk 8:51-55) Lord Jesus, when He called the people unto Him with His disciples he said unto them, “Verily I say unto you, ‘That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.'” (Mar 8:34/9:1) When Lord Jesus then went to the mount and then came to His disciples, He saw a great multitude with them and the scribes disputing with them, straightway they all beheld Him and where greatly amazed and greeted Him. (Mar 9:14-15) He then said, “What question ye with them?” One of the multitudes answered and said, "Master, I have brought unto thee my son who has a dumb spirit, and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out (Satan), and they could not." (Mar 9:17-18) Lord Jesus then rebuked the foul spirit, and the spirit cried and rent him sore and came out of him, and he was as one dead; having no breath left in him, for many said he is dead. (Mar 9:25-26/1 Kings 17:17) Lord Jesus then took him by the hand, and lifted him, and the soul of the young man came into him, and he arose. (Mar 9:27/1 Kings 17:22) 1 Kings 17:22: And the Lord heard the voice of E-li’-jah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.
