Whether God is "labeled" by man as make or female, it bears no reflection at all of us in any way. I'm male, my wife Faye is female. Does either of us have a closer relationship with God because of our gender? Does her being female have a special meaning that I being a male doesn't have?
It's true that she can do at least one thing that I can't do. It's also true that I can do at least one thing that she can't do. But if you put my one thing and her one thing in the same story we can do together what we can't do apart.
Whether God is "labeled" by mankind as male or female doesn't change anything about mankind or God. GOD IS NOT MANKIND. That means God is NO KIND of man of any kind, male or female. God is DEPICTED in scripture. To assert that God is male is to elevate yourself (if you're a man), and to assert that God is female (if you're a female), is to elevate yourself IN YOUR OWN EYES. The cost of that and the trouble you cause for yourself for doing it, doesn't match the empty reward. God is Spirit.
