The kingdom of God is referenced often in the gospels (e.g., Mark 1:15; 10:15; 15:43; Luke 17:20) and other places in the New Testament (e.g., Acts 28:31; Romans 14:17; 1 Corinthians 15:50). The ki...

The Bible hope of lasting peace for obedient humans will be fulfilled through the Kingdom of God. “Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth,” said Jesus in his model prayer. (Matthew 6:10) Yes, only God’s Kingdom can ensure that God’s will is done on earth. Why? Because that heavenly Kingdom—a government in the hands of Jesus Christ—is God’s means of expressing His rightful sovereignty over the earth.—Psalm 2:7-12; Daniel 7:13, 14. As King of that heavenly Kingdom, Jesus Christ will liberate obedient humans from every form of bondage, including the viselike grip of Adamic sin and its legacy of sickness and death. Says Revelation 21:3, 4: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind . . . And he [Jehovah God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Lasting peace will prevail earth wide. Why can we be sure of that? The reason is revealed at Isaiah 11:9, which says: “They [the Kingdom’s subjects] will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain; because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea.” Yes, every human on earth will have accurate knowledge of God and be obedient to him. Does that prospect warm your heart? If so, now is the time to begin taking in the precious “knowledge of Jehovah.”
We do not live in the Kingdom of God / Heaven on earth that Jesus presented to, and explained to, the Jews 2,000 years ago. This is the Church Age, not the era of the Hebrew Bible ("Old Testament"). The Kingdom of God / Heaven on earth referred to the Messianic promise of a Kingdom for those Jews who confessed Jesus as Messiah, coming AFTER the tribulation, after the 2nd Coming, after Armageddon. One must proceed with Holy Spirit insight in rightly interpreting and applying scripture.
The Message of the Bible is about a KINGDOM called HEAVEN. The message of Jesus Christ was about this nation called the ' KINGDOM OF HEAVEN and its influence called the KINGDOM OF GOD. Kingdoms like all other nations do not have MEMBER only CITIZENS. The KINGDOM OF HEAVEN extends the privilege of CITIZENSHIP to all mankind. Citizenship represents: Personal Power, Rights, Privileges, Authority, Access, Protection, Defense, Accountability, and Responsibility. Therefore the key to effective Kingdom living is REDISCOVERING AND UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF KINGDOM CITIZENSHIP AUTHORITY. MM
Basic Christian doctrine teaches that the "kingdom of God" is not of this world, it is still future when Jesus returns, it is a kingdom where God rules. But, to a student of Botany and Zoology, one is taught about the plant kingdom and animal kingdom. Consider therefore that when God created living things, he created angelic-kingdom, plant-kingdom, and animal-kingdom. But, when it came to "man", he started in Genesis with "an image of him and after his likeness"(Gen. 1:26). Adam was composed of matter (dust) and "breath of life"(spirit of man) and was created perfectly but "weak"(Matt. 26:40-43). There was a missing component that man needed that Jesus had to die and go back to the Father to get this gift to in-dwell in us (John 16:7;14:16-26). The Holy Spirit is key to finishing the work the Potter has planned for man (Jer. 18:1-6). God was not creating a "human kingdom" or merely after an "image/ likeness" of him, not just "dust of the ground" (body). In fact, the dust-body will rot and we will be given another but "immortal body". Instead, God was creating a kingdom composed of "spirit beings like him", a "Kingdom of God" above angelic kingdom. The kingdom of God is more than just a "government of God" and a place. It is a "new creation" (II Cor. 5:16-17) composed of immortal spirit-beings higher than angelic beings and unique to one another, yet "one" with the Son and the Father, all in the "God-Kingdom".
