In The Song Of Songs 7, the songwriter says love is a fire that can't be extinguished even by a flood! I think it refers to the love that God has for His creation. But it doesn't pinpoint the meaning of love in that way. It's a blanket description of what it is to experience love; to love or to be loved.

Someone here is 'looking for love' and is having a hard time finding it. I believe love finds; I don't think it can be "mapquest-ed." I believe it will knock on your door. I also don't believe that love is what many of us are hoping to "find." I think we're usually looking for a close relative of what we think love is. Many simply want to be happy, and hope that a relationship will deliver it. That ain't what it means to love someone. As a result, love has had the door slammed in its face because it didn't come in the form that was expected.
