Jesus is the Word of God. When God speaks, His word is given; His word is put forth, established. Jesus is the Word who became flesh. John 1:14

The Scriptures have a lot to say about God's word.

Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. Psalm 119:89

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8 (one of my favorites)

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Matthew 24:35

The references to God's word in these scriptures do not refer to the Man Jesus; they are declarations of God's proclamations; they characterize God's spoken edicts. When God speaks, the matter to which He utters speech is forever established, will not change without His approval, and isn't subject to the laws of corruption due to the passing of time.

Jesus told the crowd in John 6, "the words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life" (vs 63). Then He said something that gave context to what He said. He said, "but some of you don't believe." IOW, 'these words of life ALONE' (without the Father's consent to believe those words and come to Jesus) won't produce repentance and the new life (vs 65).

"The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works" (John 14:10).

There it is! Jesus said 'He was the instrument through which His Father was doing His work.' He was the manifestation of God's word and power! The Father and Son, at work, are inseparable.
