My opinion on this subject is as follows: Satan still inhabits the earth with legions of his demons. As a Christian you cannot be possessed by these creatures, but you can be harassed. The evil one will use other people that he can control to get to you. In one of my sermons I explain if one was to take just a piece of cardboard put letters and numbers on it, then take a rock, ask it questions, the demons will answer you.. Also if someone say took a filing cabinet and made it an alter, prayed to it, placed offerings to it. Demons will come and fill up this void readily. That is how numerous these creatures are.The filing cabinet is essentially an alter. In this walk in life we can even create these alters in our head, home or wherever, doing so invites the evil one to this place. The term if you build it they will come applies to idols. That is why we must not be slacking in our walk with the Lord. Ever vigilant, because as Peter stated: Satan walks around seeking who he may devour. Be alert, be vigilant my brothers and sisters.
