Christmas Festival
1Co 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
1Co 10:24 Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
1Co 10:25 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:
1Co 10:26 For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.
1Co 10:27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
1Co 10:28 But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake (it does not change the value of God’s creation)that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:
1Co 10:29 Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?
1Co 10:30 For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
1Co 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

To the pure all things are pure, Tit_1:15. Note, Though it is sinful to use any food in an idolatrous manner, it is no sin, after such abuse, to apply it, in a holy manner, to its common use.
III. He adds that if they were invited by any heathen acquaintances to a feast, they might go, and eat what was set before them, without asking questions (1Co_10:27), nay, though they knew things sacrificed to idols were served up at such entertainments, as well as sold in the shambles.
Tit 1:15 To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.

all things — external, “are pure” in themselves; the distinction of pure and impure is not in the things, but in the disposition of him who uses them; in opposition to “the commandments of men” (Tit_1:14), which forbade certain things as if impure intrinsically. “To the pure” inwardly, that is, those purified in heart by faith (Act_15:9; Rom_14:20; 1Ti_4:3), all outward things are pure; all are open to, their use. Sin alone touches and defiles the soul (Mat_23:26; Luk_11:41).
nothing pure — either within or without (Rom_14:23).
mind — their mental sense and intelligence.
conscience — their moral consciousness of the conformity or discrepancy between their motives and acts on the one hand, and God’s law on the other. A conscience and a mind defiled are represented as the source of the errors opposed in the Pastoral Epistles (1Ti_1:19; 1Ti_3:9; 1Ti_6:5).
Rom_14:2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
Rom_14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

ALL THINGS THE EARTH IS THE LORDS AND THE FULNESS THEREOF
for conscience’ sake — not to cause a stumbling-block to the conscience of thy weak brother (1Co_8:10-12).

YOU CAN’T MAKE GODS DAYS EVIL.
We have our Sabbath any day
We have church any day
We have Christmas any day
We decide we want to celebrate Jesus birthday any day
If you celebrate the devils birthday on the same day I celebrate Jesus birthday that’s your problem because it doesn’t affect the day that my Lord has made.
I will celebrate Jesus birthday on your Halloween day and it won’t affect my celebration day.
Rom 14:21 It is good not to eat meat or to drink wine, or to do anything by which your brother stumbles.
Rom 14:22 The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.
Rom 14:23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin.

Col 2:16 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day--
Show me a day on which I can’t celebrate on, and I will celebrate on it successfully, because that is the day that the Lord has made.
Whatever we do we do in FAITH otherwise it will be sin Rom 14:23
I call it the Jesus festival while others call it whatever.
I will sit in your festival(day) eating of your festival(food) without honoring your festival.
This is the day that the Lord has made
Psa 118:24 This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

1 Corinthians 8:10

For if any man - Any Christian brother who is ignorant, or anyone who might otherwise become a Christian.
Which hast knowledge - Who are fully informed in regard to the real nature of idol worship. You will be looked up to as an example. You will be presumed to be partaking of this feast in honor of the idol. You will thus encourage him, and he will partake of it with a conscientious regard to the idol.
Sit at meat - Sitting down to an entertainment in the temple of the idol. Feasts were often celebrated, as they are now among the pagan, in honor of idols. Those entertainments were either in the temple of the idol, or at the house of him who gave it.
Shall not the conscience of him which is weak - Of the man who is not fully informed, or who still regards the idol with superstitious feelings; see 1Co_8:7.
Be emboldened - Margin, “Edified” οἰκοδομηθήσεται oikodomēthēsetai. Confirmed; established. So the word “edify” is commonly used in the New Testament; Act_9:31; Rom_14:19; Eph_4:12; 1Th_5:11. The sense here is, “Before this he had a superstitious regard for idols. He had the remains of his former feelings and opinions. But he was not established in the belief that an idol was anything; and his superstitious feelings were fast giving way to the better Christian doctrine that they were nothing. But now, by your example, he will be fully confirmed in the belief that an idol is to be regarded with respect and homage. He will see you in the very temple, partaking of a feast in honor of the idol; and he will infer not only that it is right, but that it is a matter of conscience with you, and will follow your example.”
